Andrucci Roulette System

The Andrucci system bets on a “hot” number: you record recent spins, pick the number that came up most, and back it straight up for a set run of spins. It’s high risk and high reward, and it rests on an idea the maths doesn’t support.

What Is the Andrucci Roulette System?

The Andrucci is a flat-betting system built around a single straight-up bet, the biggest payout on the table at 35 to 1. Its followers link it to chaos theory: the belief that over a short run, a wheel doesn’t spread its results evenly, so a number that has been hitting may keep hitting.

Unlike progressions such as the Martingale, your stake never changes. What the system decides is which number to back and for how long.

How to Play the Andrucci System

  1. Record the last 30–35 spins. Write them down; most live and online tables also show recent results.
  2. Pick the hot number. Choose the number that came up most often in that run.
  3. Bet it straight up. Place the same stake on that number every spin.
  4. Set a limit. Keep betting for a set number of spins, usually 15 to 25 and never more than 35, or until it wins.
  5. Start again. After a win or when you reach your limit, record a fresh run of spins and pick again.

Example record of 35 roulette spins in which 10 came up three times, making it the hot number for the Andrucci systemStep 1: record the last 35 spins and find the hot numberExample record, oldest spin first291232173841150621732829951021113512213241410152816271710181019152032172282332244252426627182813291430263153217331334253510 came up 3 times, more than any other number, so it becomes your Andrucci bet.

The 35-spin ceiling comes straight from the payout. A straight-up win returns 36 times your stake, so after 36 losing spins a win only gets your money back:

Example. You bet $10 a spin on your hot number. After 20 losing spins you’re down $200. It hits on spin 21, paying $350 plus your $10 stake back, for a profit of $150.

What Are the Real Odds of a Hit?

Your number has the same chance of winning on every spin: 2.70% on a European wheel and 2.63% on an American one. Over a run of spins, the chance it hits at least once is:

Spins European wheel American wheel
15 33.7% 33.0%
25 49.6% 48.7%
35 61.7% 60.7%

So even at the full 35 spins, about four runs in ten end with no win. At $10 a spin, each of those costs $350.

Does Picking a “Hot” Number Help?

Not on a fair wheel. In 30–35 spins every number is expected to come up about once, and by pure chance a few will come up two or three times. That’s normal variation, not a pattern, and it says nothing about the next spin.

Real wheel bias does exist on badly maintained physical wheels, but finding it takes thousands of recorded spins, not 35; see our guide to roulette wheel malfunctions. Online RNG games and live casino wheels are tested and monitored, so a hot number there is just luck. The house edge stays at 2.70% or 5.26% whichever number you choose.

Pros and Cons of the Andrucci

Pros

  • Flat stakes, so your cost per spin never changes.
  • One win can cover a long run of losses.
  • Simple: one bet, one number.

Cons

  • You lose about 36 spins in 37.
  • Long losing runs are common, and four 35-spin runs in ten end without a win.
  • Its central idea, that recent results predict the next spin, is false on a fair wheel.

Is the Andrucci System for You?

The Andrucci suits players who enjoy chasing a single big payout and can afford long losing runs. Set your spin limit and a loss limit before you start, and play on a European wheel for the lower house edge.
