If you are a keen and experienced online casino player, and think that you have played every possible variation of the classic roulette game, and that there is nothing that will surprise you, do not be too sure about that. Even with the great variety of roulette games on the Internet provided by all kinds of casinos, there will always be some idea that no one has yet thought of. Yet again Playtech has come up with another great idea for a roulette game, in order to keep players interested in the classic.
This particular addition to the roulette variations list is Mini Roulette, which uses much smaller version of the classic roulette. And even though it is a smaller roulette, the game still manages to capture the spirit and the entertainment levels of the previous Playtech installments of roulette games. This way the game will be even more suitable for new players, since the number of bet combinations, table rules, and payouts are considerably smaller in comparison to the classic roulette games.

Table Rules and Table Limit
Since the name of the game is Mini Roulette, it can be said that the game is a compressed version of the classic roulette played in casinos all over the world. Mini Roulette is similar to European roulette since both of them are single-zero variations of the game. And as any roulette game the purpose is to guess in which slot the ball will land, and win prizes corresponding to the sector’s payout conditions.
The only major difference from European roulette, is that Mini Roulette uses only 12 numbered slots and respectively one zero-sector, instead of the 37 slots. And as you might have guessed, the chances of winning in Mini Roulette are significantly higher, due to the small amount of numbered slots on the table.
Due to the higher chance of guessing where the ball will land, the payouts in Mini Roulette are smaller than the regular payouts in European Roulette. For example, the straight-up payout is 11:1, while in the European version it is 35:1. Despite the name of the game and its compressed size, it is suitable for both small and high bets, with a table minimum of $0.50 and $3,000 maximum distributed on the layout. Before starting, it is recommended for every player to familiarize themselves with the minimum and maximum bets, which can be found just above the 3D wheel in a small green panel.
|Type of Bet||Bet Payout||Bet Limits|
|Straight Up Bet||11:1||$0.50 – $50|
|Split Bet||5:1||$0.50 – $100|
|Street Bet||3:1||$0.50 – $150|
|Corner Bet||2:1||$0.50 – $200|
|Columns Bet||2:1||$2 – $300|
|Half Dozens Bet||1:1||$2 – $300|
|Odd/Even Bet||1:1||$5 – $300|
|Black/Red Bet||1:1||$5 – $300|
Even though the game is only a third of the original roulette, the Playtech developers did not spare any efforts while making Mini Roulette. The first thing you will notice, when you start the game is that the graphic design is excellent for a “mini” game. The layout was made as simple as possible, even the new players with no knowledge of the game, will understand it after only a few minutes of clicking.
On the left of the gaming table is the mesmerizing 3D wheel, which is waiting for the imminent bets placed by the players. And if you are ready to start betting, first you need to choose a chip, each with different game credits value. The chip tray is on the right of the screen, right in front of the players, as in a real casino. The value of the chips ranges from $0.01, $0.1, $0.5, $1, $5, $10, and $25.
There are 3 buttons at the player’s disposal just above the chip tray. The first one being the “Spin” button, next the “Rebet” button to place the same bets as in the previous round, and last is the “Clear Bets”, meaning that by pressing it, all placed bets will be removed from the table.
Of course, as most of Playtech’s flash titles, Mini Roulette has the most important and game improving feature – the Fast Play mode, or also known as the Turbo Mode. The mode can be accessed from the options menu in the top right corner of the screen. When enabled, the game will skip the spinning 3D wheel animation. Meaning that if a player turns on the Fast Play mode, he or she will be able to place more bets, in a shorter amount of time since it takes significantly more time when the Turbo Mode is off.
Just below the chip tray is located the History panel, in which the players can check the previous 10 results of the spins. All numbers shown in the panel are in their corresponding colors from the table – red, black, or blue for the zero slot.
And last but not least, the game offers you the possibility of changing the background music, if it does not fit your taste. This feature can be accessed again from the Options tab. Then by clicking on the Audio Options tab, the player can choose one of the 3 background songs, or simply turn it off.
Despite its name, the entertainment value and thrills offered by the game are exactly the opposite of “Mini”. Even though there are not many bet combinations, the higher chances of regular winning, make the game more enjoyable and exciting even for the hardcore roulette fans. Despite being a “portable” version of classic roulette, Mini Roulette holds its ground among the more popular variations of the game, and is famous for being suitable for both low and high-stake players.
It will be no surprise for the players that this “lightweight” version of roulette is available on regular desktop computers, as well as on Windows Phone, Android and iOS devices. Mini Roulette has become one of the most popular roulette games in the online casino industry, due to its simplistic design and user-friendly interface, which as a great starter roulette, introduces millions of players to the world of online gaming. After playing the demo version of the game, if you feel ready, you can deposit real money into your game account, and start the journey on your road to glory.
